THe movie Sideways change the landscspe of wine forever...well, at least for 30 years. One simple line that an actor recites in a parking lot, no more than 10 seconds worth, clobbered Merlot sales for 30 years.
It wasn't meant to be anything. Just a line. Just as passing frustration.
Maybe it was Paul Giamatti's acting, Maybe it was a market change ready to happen, maybe it was just a social thing.
A man and a woman out for an evening now understand what Paul would have gone through.
